Kilts Across New York, can New York cope?
Friday, 27 June 2008 by Iain
Today saw us take the Harleys for a spin round Time Square and down Broadway. We then went to Brooklyn for a photo shoot with Manhattan Bridge on one side and Brooklyn bridge on the other. Lloyd Bishop (photographer) has taken some stunning shots and we thank him for his support.
The Fountain displays have started on the Hudson river so it brought the musical side out of us both. We apologise to everyone in advance.
Lloyd Bishop says a few words on our behalf. We would like to thank Lloyd for his support he has shown us a true Giver Gain attitude.
Once again remember we are making people smile but Moebius sufferers cant smile so please donate now.

Continental Kilts
Friday, 20 June 2008 by webmanwalking

Colin, Iain and JerseyFlyGirl aboard the Continental flight to America
It appears that Colin and Iain are causing a stir already and have not even yet reached the USA:
Just a quick post here today... I'm in tonight from lovely Edinburgh and had a couple of very special passengers on my flight home. They stirred up quite a bit of attention too!... you see they were in KILTS... okay... you DO see that every now and then while in Scotland... but what really made them stand out was that one of them had on a "Continental Kilt"... with a Continental logo and a Continental seat belt around his waist for a belt! Very cool! But the most important part? It was their story... Colin (on the left), a married father of four has a little boy (5 years old) who has a rare disease called Moebius Syndrome. He and his friend/business partner, Iain are riding motorcycles (YES, IN KILTS!) across America to raise funds for much needed research of this disease. His story was moving, his heart so passionate for his little boy and he was so sincere as well... I was touched. So I am sharing their website with you. I hope you'll take a look, say a prayer for them and send them a note of encouragement or a donation if you feel so led. May the Lord richly bless their journey!
Extract taken from JerseyFlyGirl - Kilts Across America.... Thank you.
The challenge has begun
Tuesday, 17 June 2008 by Iain

Today saw the beginning of a life changing trip for all involved. It seemed so far away when we dreamt up the idea last November. The kilt idea also seemed like a good idea, until we took off from Edinburgh Harley Davidson this morning and our kilts shall we say had a lovely lifting experience.
We also learned that tourists, friends, photographers and radio stations can be quite demanding and if we are to reach the west coast of America in the days allocated we need to keep to a strict time table.
It has to be said driving the bikes today was brilliant, the weather being typically Scottish was not great but the sense of pride and oh my god this time on Sunday we will be driving from Boston to New York certainly hit home.
Here we are leaving with two Police outriders which was different us following them instead of the other way about. The show has begun and we will be sending back delay blogs from Sunday well Monday UK time we are also talking with Talk 107 in Edinburgh throughout our trip. We have TV appearances in the US when we get there and we will feed back when these will take place.
Here are some other videos of Calton Hill before we took off for the airport here is Howie Nicholsby of 21st Century Kilts who has helped with the design of our kilts for the journey he is star and we cannot thank him enough for his input.
We need support, to donate and help us reach our goal please click here.
Kilts into the wilderness...
Friday, 13 June 2008 by Colin
As many of you know Iain Whyte and I are riding from New York to Los Angeles in kilts on motorbikes for our charity, The Moebius Research Trust. The support we have had from everyone has been incredible and on behalf of the Trust, I would like to invite you all to our official send off on Tuesday the 17th of June. We are leaving from Calton Hill between 10am and 11am and if you can make it we would be delighted to see you there.
The Press and possibly the TV will be in attendance, so wear all that branded clothing, you never know who will be watching. For the ladies we have a some of the Edinburgh Capitals Ice Hockey team in attendance, hopefully they will bring a few cheerleaders!
The website will be updated daily with blogs once we arrive in New York. Talk 107 in Edinburgh want us to do a report everyday following our progress, so no excuses for not knowing how we are doing.
And if you want to be part of, what we believe is going to be life changing for individuals with Moebius like my son George, then why not sponsor us...there's still time!
